Thank you all for your support on the last (for the moment) day of pool opening. The pool was kept open for an additional two hours due to a ’swim in’. We left because the lifeguards were only paid up until this time, and as they are already under the threat of redundancy, we felt that it would be unfair to keep them any longer. Also, we would like to thank Councillor Lee Finn; the last Plymouth City Councillor to leave the pool. Well done Lee. We have a selection of pictures taken on the last day on the links below.

As an aside we can also link to the latest shock story carried on the BBC website. This story states that 25% of children are now obese. How could this happen? Should an “Action Team” and/or a “Working Party” be set up?

Stories coming soon to this site will cover “Clawback”, “Section 106″ and “Local Planning”. Keep looking at the site and keep emailing and voting.

And so we come to the Local Government elections. The Save Seaton Pool Campaign is not a political organisation but we will remember who are the friends of Seaton Pool and who are it’s enemies. We must make a special mention for Councillor Lee Finn who has been campaigning ceaselessly for Seaton Pool. We also include below a Conservative Party election flyer. The bottom link shows what the Save Seaton pool campaign thinks of the candidates standing in each Plymouth City ward in the local elections on the 4th May 2006.
