A Council running out of control

Following on from the taxi fiasco, we now have the hasty disposal of Home Park to the first bidder. The fact that the former owner of Plymouth Argyle may have made a better offer has been ignored. If any local businessman who has been wronged by the City Council would like to sponsor a judicial review of the decision making regarding Seaton pool, please let us know. In the meantime we are left with complaining to the Council Chief Executive. Councillor Lee Finn has identified serious procedural errors in the way the original decision by the PCC cabinet to close Seaton Pool was made. We reproduce the text of Councillor Finn’s letter to the Chief Executive below and urge everyone to send similar words to the Chief Executive.

On a more uplifting note, and with the help of the Evening Herald, we can report that the children of Plymouth can see the folly of closing Seaton Pool, even if some of the "adults" cannot. We reproduce the full front page of the Schools’ Evening Herald (in low quality) and also the full text of the article in higher quality.
