Latest Update

As reported last week, Baroness Fookes has joined our campaign.  The Evening Herald carried the story on the 21-2-06 and the story can be read by clicking on the link below.

We have also been passed a copy of a letter sent from Plymouth City Council to the users of Seaton Pool in 2002. In it PCC state that the SWRDA has recognised that a quality leisure facility is required in the area. Again click on the link below to view the letter.

We have also reluctantly decided to add some more people to our list of villains. Go to the "Our Villains" page to see the new members. We feel it is time to add these new members, as there is only one and a half months before the proposed closure of Seaton Pool. If Seaton Pool does close, it will be as much the fault of those who have not spoken out against closure as those (in the PCC cabinet) who nodded through the initial decision. Obviously, if any of these new "Villains" do anything positive to keep Seaton Pool open we shall transfer them to our "Heroes" page immediately.

For those who believe that Plymouth City Council or SWRDA have acted improperly in the attempt to close Seaton Pool, we advise that you should complain to the Local Government Ombudsman and the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman respectively. Also, if you believe that there has been mal-administration on the part of the City Council you can (and should) complain to the Chief Executive.
