What now?

How can we get over to the PCC Cabinet that we are not going to go away? Keep writing and emailing.  Use the Freedom of Information Act to ask awkward questions of the Council. Make sure you state that you are asking for the information you require in accordance with your rights under the FoI Act. There are massive inconsistencies in the story that the Council is telling to the people of Plymouth.  Try and lay these inconsistencies bare.  We have an experienced campaigner as one of our supporters and the following link gives some ideas and rules when asking for information.

Some other suggestions for information might be:-

On what basis has the Council costed the repairs allegedly required? - Any reasonable person who visits Seaton Pool is astounded when told of the Council figures.

Has there been any independent engineering/structural assessment been carried out on the repairs that are (allegedly) required?  If yes, please provide details. If not, why not, and on whose authority?

What decision making process did the Council carry out when deciding to announce the proposed closure of Seaton Pool?  What other options were considered? And why (if there were any other options) were these considered inferior?

What communications were there with the SWRDA in the period between Seaton Pool lease running out  and the termination of extension negotiations?

What communications have there been with the SWRDA since the termination of the extension negotiations?

On what basis did the Council withdraw from the ongoing negotiations with the SWRDA?

Does the Council believe that the SWRDA were negotiating in good faith? If the Council do not believe that the SWRDA were negotiating in good faith, what evidence is there that the SWRDA were not?
