A valuble resource for the people of Plymouth
Two events occured before the Public meeting on 1st February. The first was that the PCC website had a news release trying to clarify the Council’s arguments supporting the proposed closure. We have included a link to the PCC website below, but because we think it may disappear we have also copied the text to the link below and have added our rebuttals.

Secondly, we have received an anonymous letter from a supporter within PCC detailing, to a certain extent, the relationship between PCC and the SWRDA. Combined with this, the BBC website is carrying a story suggesting that the SWRDA’s role may not be as malign as first thought. We think that the SWRDA could go a bit further in clarifying their position. We have emails from the SWRDA supporting the PCC decision to close Seaton Pool, and other emails claiming they have no opinion. It would be nice for the SWRDA to state publicly and categorically that they would be content for Seaton Pool to remain open in its current position for the medium term with a continued offer of a plot for a new build pool in the longer term. Here is the link to the story on the BBC website:-
